Purpose
  • Non-profit scientific and education organization
  • Advocate for the conservation profession and for science-based conservation policy

Advocacy
  • Is an advocate for USDA Conservation Programs and Technical Assistance
  • MT Chapter works with other Conservation partner organizations to sponsor conferences, symposiums, and tours addressing current agriculture technology and natural resource issues

Mission
  • Foster the science and art of soil, water and related natural resource management to achieve sustainability

Objectives
  • Foster natural
  • resource education by
  • offering one or two
  • scholarships to
  • students who are
  • enrolled in a natural
  • resource program at an accredited college,
  • university, or vocational school in either
  • Montana or North Dakota

Leadership Structure
  • Governed by an executive board consisting of a:
  • President
  • President-elect
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • 5 area directors

Membership
  • Consists of approximately 90 conservation enthusiasts working in many phases of agriculture and natural resources
  • Provides a local voice for natural resources at a National level

Cost of Membership
  • $25 student membership
  • $75 conservationist
  • membership increases to meet individual needs
